Kim Kardashian’s Best Friend Jonathan Cheban Boasts About $500,000 Watch, Thief Attempts To Mug Him

Jonathan Cheban, Kim Kardashian’s best friend, was almost mugged after he boasted about his new $500,000 watch while eating in a New York restaurant and then revealed his location.

Cheban was eating outside of a restaurant in The Hamptons when he uploaded the photo of his Sunday lobster dinner.

He posted the image of his diamond-encrusted Jacob & Co. watch, after a group of women had originally come over to his table to take a picture with him.

Jonathan wrote the caption: “I think I overdressed my wrist today with my @jacobandco…22 karat’s is a bit much for daytime LOL.”

A source, according to The New York Post, then revealed, “a guy came over and started asking some questions. Jonathan was very friendly. But then the guy grabbed Jonathan… and tried to steal his half-million-dollar watch!”

The insider then added, “Jonathan fought back to stop him, and he pushed Jonathan to the floor.”

At this point a security guard then intervened, and the unsuccessful robber then escaped without the watch. However, because of his tight schedule, Jonathan was unable to file a police report.

His friend then added, “He left the Hamptons. He was there for a private event. He was only [in town] for three hours. Disaster. He wasn’t badly hurt, his wrist got banged up.”

The source then added that Jonathan headed out to Europe, which is why he failed to file the police report.

Cheban has been best friends with Kim Kardashian for several years, and he has appeared a number of times in her various reality shows, while she produced his 2010 E! show, The Spin Crowd, which was canceled after one series.

Previously Jonathan Cheban revealed that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s new daughter, North West, is “doing amazing and couldn’t be happier.”
