‘Titanfall’ Lands Gamescom 2013 Gameplay Trailer [Video]

Titanfall has landed a new trailer from Gamescon 2013.

Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment are bringing what looks to be the latest mech game for the masses, only this time it seems to be taking a page out of Pacific Rim. Players can interact on foot or in a mech suit as they fight for dominance in this multiplayer-only title. Titanfall was made to be without a single player mode due to the need to focus on what the developers felt gamers spend most of their time doing. They feel splitting their attention would weaken one or both modes, as previously reported by The Inquisitr.

The Gamescon 2013 gameplay trailer for Titanfall begins with someone asking, “How much has this guy had to drink?” Someone else replies in a slurred and unintelligible yell.

“Damn, this guy smells. You know him or something?”

As he’s asking these questions, we see words on the screen telling us, “Militia forces have traveled Angel City’s harbor district to bring in Barker, an ace Pilot crucial to the resistance.”

Then we see two men talking from one mech suit to another in the Titanfall Gamescon 2013 trailer as the one we’re looking at appears to be opening a manhole at the base of his.

The guy he’s talking to finally replies, “Yeah, Barker was my wingman in the tight wars.”

Barker, the apparently drunk one, says, “I’m gonna kick all your asses.”

A few men start dropping down into the manhole, and what waits below is most likely a hidden base.

“He may not look like much, but he’s a hell of a pilot.”

Then we see the mech in front of us stand up, raise its weapon, and start moving as a woman on an intercom announces an incoming attack. The battle begins as mechs race down the street and men scramble into position. One of the mechs fires into a building and a massive explosion erupts almost in our faces.

The rest of the video is above. Are you excited to play Titanfall on Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC in early 2014?
