Ex-Wife Pays Divorce Settlement In Pennies

Divorce can be hard on anyone, and after being told in court to pay her ex-husband $50.12, she delivers her payment to him, all in pennies.

Not sure if we are supposed to sympathize with this man or laugh at the nature of the delivery considering she delivered the payment not only in pennies… but with a side of rice and beans.

The man posted images of his payment on Reddit, and seemed to find the situation just as funny as those that commented.

As if the payments of pennies with a side of rice and beans weren’t enough, the ex-wife added a letter:

“Andy, Here’s forty seven dollars and twelve cents in pennies. The other three dollars paid for the containers that I used. Receipt is included if you want to return them… I hope you have a fab life! B/C I know mine’s 20X better without you in it! Thank you!”

The man doesn’t seem all that hurt by the letter, or by the way his payment was delivered.

This isn’t the only strangely funny divorce settlement to make news.

The Inquisitr recently reported on a man from India who was told to pay his wife just over $1,300 a month in alimony plus an extra $2.50 for her sweet tooth.

Interestingly enough, the divorce was actually over ice cream according to the report.

“He said that she blew all of his hard-earned cash on the dairy treat while she said that he made tons of money as a stockbroker, so who cares.”

As stated before, divorce isn’t easy, and some can take it pretty hard. But in the case of the ex-wife who payed her settlement to her now ex-husband, it would seem he got more then just a chuckle out of the whole situation.
