It took him 23 years but Bruce Jenner has finally managed to get his wife Kris and his mother Esther Jenner to end their little feud.
Kris and Esther have not had a good relationship since Bruce and Kris got married in 1991. But last night on Keeping Up With The Kardashians the two matriarch’s finally made nice.
Of course, it wasn’t easy.
Bruce first asked Kris to come with him to Idaho to celebrate his mother’s 87th birthday.
Kris wasn’t too keen on the idea, saying: “The last time she came to my home, I made her dinner, I made her brownies, I made her pasta, my favorite soup, I put flowers in her room. I made her feel like a princess. She doesn’t even like me. Why would I go visit somebody who can’t stand me?”
Bruce tried to convince Kris to make the trip to Idaho but eventually decided that it would be easier to fly Esther out to his own home for the birthday party.
Esther tried to get out of it saying that she “had to check her schedule” but eventually flew out to see the in-laws.
Success, right? Wrong.
The birthday dinner ended prematurely when Kris Jenner and Esther got into a fight. Kris left the table early and Esther went back to her hotel room.
But Bruce Jenner wasn’t about to give up. He pleaded with Kris and Esther and got them to meet up again to talk about their problems. This time, thankfully, things went much better.
Esther even gave Kris a compliment and said that she has been very good to her son.
Esther said: “I have felt like I should stay away, stay out of the picture, and I have… But it’s not right… (This is) the longest marriage he has had. You’ve been good for him and I think he’s been good for you.”
After the reconciliation was over, Kris said: “Wow, I’ve waited 23 years for this. Better late than never!”
