Lisa Robin Kelly Dead, Troubled ‘That ’70s Show’ Actress Was 43 [Video]

Lisa Robin Kelly has died at the age of 43, according to multiple news outlets.

The actress best known for playing Laurie Forman on the Fox sitcom That ’70s Show has made numerous headlines lately over her legal and substance abuse problems. Kelly’s agent told TheWrap that she died Wednesday in a California rehab facility she had entered in an attempt to get help.

“Unfortunately Lisa Robin Kelly passed away last evening. Lisa had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility early this week where she was battling the addiction problems that have plagued her these past few years,” the agent said in a statement.

“I spoke to her on Monday and she was hopeful and confident, looking forward to putting this part of her life behind her. Last night she lost the battle.”

A cause of death is not known at this time, but some outlets are reporting that she died in her sleep.

Lisa Robin Kelly left her role on That ’70s Show and her role was ultimately recast with Christina Moore for the sixth season. She admitted in a later interview that she left due to a drinking problem.

Since then, she has been arrested multiple times for alleged assault and most recently for suspected DUI.

She attempted to mount a comeback in early 2012, and admitted in an interview with Good Morning America’s Abbie Boudreau that various personal troubles had led to an alcohol dependency.

“I had lost a baby, and as a result of that, I lost everything, and I was abusing alcohol, which I no longer do,” she said. “With That ’70s Show, I was guilty of the drinking problem and I ran. And I am not running from this. And I have paid my dues. And if I can make it through this, I can make it through anything.”
