Ziva’s Successor On NCIS Is ‘Socially Awkward’ Bishop

The imminent arrival of Ziva’s successor in the police drama NCIS has at least calmed the nerves of some worried viewers of the show. As one of the most popular characters, special agent Ziva will be greatly missed by avid fans.

Fortunately, the show is moving on as it announced the arrival of a new character for the lead lady role in the upcoming season 11. Bishop is said to be in her twenties and is “bright, educated, athletic, attractive, fresh-faced, focused and somewhat socially awkward.”

TVline, who got hold of the casting breakdowns, spoke about the show’s new character: “She has a mysterious mixture of analytic brilliance, fierce determination and idealism. She’s traveled extensively, but only feels comfortable at home.”

So what about the exit plan, which will enable Ziva’s successor to fill her shoes? That remains to be seen, but CBS did confirm that Ziva would feature in at least a couple of the initial episodes of season 11. They said there will be “appropriate closure in this chapter of Ziva’s story.”

In an interview recently with Latina magazine, Pablo spoke about her exit from the show saying: “It was not an easy decision, not one taken lightly. I feel like I am leaving my family. What I want to say most of all is thank you to the fans and to the people who have been so supportive of me and of the show, who have made the show the great success that it is.”

How do you feel about Ziva’s successor, Bishop so far? Do you think she will fulfill the role as well as Pablo did? Do you think Bishop sounds like the right kind of character to replace Ziva? Let’s hear your comments in the feed below.
