Nathalia Henao: Proposal By Daren Jay Ashba ‘Amazing,’ Police Investigation Underway

The marriage proposal of Daren Jay Ashba to girlfriend Nathalia Henao took place on an “amazing” private helicopter tour over Las Vegas.

Now, Las Vegas police are investigating whether employees went over the top in their efforts to help the Guns N’ Roses guitarist with his grand romantic gesture.

Ashba posted a photo on Instagram of himself and his girlfriend, Colombian actress and model Nathalia Henao, wearing helicopter headgear.

He thanked the Las Vegas police department for the private helicopter tour over the city, which ended in a field at police headquarters. It was there that he proposed amid roses and “a bottle of the bubble stuff.”

He wrote in the post, “That was the most incredible day of our life!!”He also posted a picture of a round-cut diamond solitaire ring with the title,”She said yes!!!”

Las Vegas police issued a statement Saturday accepting that two civilians were granted a ride-along in a helicopter. Spokesman Bill Cassell said, “An internal affairs investigation has been initiated to determine if any department policies or regulations were violated in granting this ride-along.”

The Police Department is already short of money.. Last week, Sheriff Doug Gillespie tried to get an increase in sales tax in Clark County – which includes Las Vegas – to help with the deficit.

However, it isn’t known yet how much the city coffers benefited form the helicopter trip.

One Instagram client posted: “It’s nice to know that Clark County (which includes Las Vegas), might raise the sales tax to pay for extra cops to give private helicopter tours for wealthy celebrities.”

For sure, this is one marriage proposal that Nathalia Henao won’t forget in a hurry.
