Katy Perry’s New Single ‘Roar’ Leaks Online, Released Earlier

Katy Perry’s new single Roar leaked online and forced an early release, something the spunky singer seems to be okay with.

The song was supposed to be out on Monday, August 12, but it leaked on Saturday morning, according to Billboard. In response to this development the song was distributed to radio stations which began playing it hourly on the weekend.

Perry took to Twitter on Sunday, “Looks like there’s a tiger on the loose!!!” she shared with fans.

There’s a clear message in the lyrics, which speak of “getting up” after being knocked down. The singer has had a tumultuous time in her personal life, having married and divorced Russell Brand, since the release of her last album,Teenage Dream in 2010.

She doesn’t appear to be upset by the early release, and truthfully, we all know that nowadays nothing comes out when it’s supposed to anyway.

The early release might have taken a few uncertain days from Katy and she is happily announcing the the single Roar will hit iTunes at midnight Sunday, or Monday morning.

Perry has been promoting her fourth studio album Prism, which comes out October 22, riding a shiny 18-wheeler promotional truck.
