Schwandt Family Has 12 Boys Thanks To New Son Tucker

The Schwandt family now has 12 boys.

Jay and Kateri schwandt had been telling their friends and family to think pink for the last nine months but the Michigan couple still managed to have another son. The couple welcomed Tucker Ray Schwandt, the 12th boy in the family, on August 4.

Jay said: “I never imagined I`d be sitting here with my 12th child.”

Jay told THV11 that they didn’t find out if they were having a boy or a girl until delivery day. They were both rooting for a girl but they are very happy to have another happy baby.

Kateri said: “Jay said he was somewhat rooting for a girl along with a few other friends who were thinking pink, but blue won out. I’m sure a little girl probably would be fun but we know what we’re doing. Sometimes I feel like I’m living in a locker room.”

With Tucker in the house now, the Schwant family has 12 boys starting with Ty at 21. Kateri said that she’s pretty comfortable raising boys now and she’s confident that she can handle another boy.

Kateri said: “I know how to manage time and manage a schedule and make sure kids get where they need to be and get picked up when Mom forgets every now and then.”

Jay and Kateri said that they aren’t opposed to having another child. And who knows? Maybe lucky number 13 will be a girl.
