Russell Brand Would Imagine ‘Anyone Else’ During Sex With Katy Perry

Someone remind Russell Brand that his marriage to Katy Perry ended over a year ago.

The off-color entertainer is still bad-mouthing his ex, hitting their failed marriage in it’s rawest, most vulnerable place: The bedroom.

“When I got divorced, I considered becoming a monk,” he reportedly said during a small gig at London’s Soho Theatre on July 31.

“When you’re a monk, you’re not allowed to have sex with anyone. When you’re married, it’s one person. That’s one more than a monk. It’s not that different. I’d be having sex thinking, ‘Think of anyone, anyone else.'”

Good Lord, ouch.

Still, Russell has said in previous interviews that he really did give monogamy its best shot. Katy Perry might not have been his cup of tea (how, we do not know), but he has insisted that he was always faithful to her, despite his former womanizing.

“It’s a hard-core thing, monogamy,” he told HuffPost Live in June.

“It’s a hard-core principle. But beautiful, and to be recommended. And if you make a commitment to it, you’ve got to do it. When I was married, monogamy straight down the middle. You can’t mess around with that stuff.”

It’s hard to parse which things that come out of Russell Brand’s mouth are for entertainment’s sake and which things are his genuine heart, but maybe there are some places best left untouched when mining for comedic material.

But we’ll turn it over to you. What do you think of Russell Brand’s comment about his sex life with Katy Perry?
