Adrianne Palicki Talks Stunts, Training And GI Joe

Comic Book fans are still hoping to see Adrianne Palicki put on the Wonder Woman costume again but they’ll have to settle for Lady Jayne at the moment. The Friday Light Nights actress recently opened up about what it was like working with an a mostly male crew on the set of GI Joe: Retaliation.

Palicki said that she grew up with a big brother and had no problem getting along with her male co-stars like Bruce Willis, Dwayne The Rock Johnson and Channing Tatum. The actress said that she did a lot of training in the cast and by the time filming began they were all friends.

Palicki said: “It was fun. I grew up with a big brother, so you just sort of fall into pattern with the guys. When you’re out in the middle of the desert sweating, you see things, you hear things. It’s like, ‘Okay, we’re going to be best friends. We have to be best friends.’ It was definitely a boys’ club, but thankfully they let me into it.”

Adrianne Palicki is one of the hottest actresses working today (she recently made the Maxim Hot 100 List) but she was particularly fit for GI Joe. The actress said that she trained with the Navy Seals and had some of the most intense workouts of her life before shooting the new movie.

Palicki said: A month-and-a-half before we shipped out, I started working with a personal trainer, Bobby Strong. When we got to New Orleans we were on a very strict program of training for eight hours a day for a month. We worked with Navy SEALS to learn how to hold guns, clear a room, run like them, move, all that stuff. Then we worked with our stunt doubles and did fitness training… It was awesome because it was so handy. We didn’t even have to think about what we were doing and we were able to focus on the acting portion of it.”

G.I. Joe: Retaliation recently came out on DVD and Blu Ray but it isn’t the only place where you can see Adrianne Palicki. She’s currently working on a new movie and there are still rumors circulating that she may suit up again for a Wonder Woman movie. Palicki played the famous superhero in a failed TV pilot but her fans are hoping that she gets another shot to wield the lasso of truth.
