‘Full House’ Star Jodie Sweetin Denies Rehab Claims
Former Full House star Jodie Sweetin is denying claims that she has checked into rehab.
According to TMZ, the 31-year-old called reports that she was in treatment for substance abuse “such bulls**t.” She said she is actually working as a clinical logistics coordinator at a rehab center in Los Angeles and that she has been allowed to live in a studio apartment for the time being.
“I work for the center and they have been really generous in helping me with a place to stay as Morty wanted me out by the end of the month,” she said. “The owners of the facility said I could stay here as I got things figured out.”
Sweetin is currently in the middle of her third divorce. She and soon-to-be ex-husband Morty Coyle were married on March 15, 2012, and she filed for legal separation last month. The couple have a 2-year-old daughter, Beatrix Carlin Sweetin-Coyle, together. Sweetin also has another daughter, Zoie Laurelmae Herpin, from her marriage to Cody Herpin, a film transportation coordinator. The former couple share custody of the 5-year-old.
Sweetin was also married to LAPD officer Shaun Holguin for four years, but he filed for divorce after she underwent treatment for drug abuse. She said that she would do drugs in the bathroom and that she would lie to her husband when he asked if she was OK.
Sweetin said she decided not to pursue full custody of Beatrix because she wants her daughter “to have both of her parents in her life.”
The National Enquirer reported that Sweetin entered a $50,000-a-month treatment facility and that a reporter saw the actress loading furniture onto a truck at the apartment complex she shares with Coyle. Sweetin then followed the truck to what used to be the Lookout Mountain Air Force Station, the tabloid claimed. The rag also cited a friend of Sweetin’s who said she checked into rehab to cope with her history of drug abuse.
