44-Year-Old Stripper Claims “Age Discrimination” In Firing

A Canadian stripper named Kimberlee Ouwroulis says she was fired because she was too old. Now, she’s filing a lawsuit.

Kimberlee Ouwroulis, 44, claims her Toronto-area strip club’s manager told her “the club was going for a younger look.” She says another older stripper also lost her job at the club, called New Locomotion, the same day.

Ouwroulis is not currently listed on the club’s “Girls” page (warning: may be NSFW). There is, however, some useful info about the venue’s “1/2 Price Chicken Wing Sundays” special.

To Ouwroulis’s credit, the club hired her when she was 40 — so maybe the manager should have thought of the possible problems back on interview day. Ouwoulis said she had hoped to keep stripping until she was 48.

“The job is partially about looks, partially about personality and attitude, all of which helped me to be a good dancer,” Ouwroulis told the National Post.

Kimberlee Ouwroulis’s age discrimination suit is being argued by the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Post reports.
