Switzerland Train Crash Injures 44, Fatalities Possible [Breaking, Video]
A Switzerland train crash today involving two passenger trains has injured dozens of people, sources on Twitter are reporting.
The train collision in Switzerland has reportedly injured 44 people, four of them seriously, but it is not currently known if there were any fatalities. What may have caused the crash has also not been yet reported.
Video below shows the aftermath of the train crash in Switzerland, but all footage of the impacted trains reveals that they are empty of passengers.
RT.com reports that the train crash occurred at around 7 pm in Switzerland, close to a station:
“The accident occurred near Lausanne, in the western French-speaking region of the country. The train crashed approximately 100 meters away from a rail station, as it headed towards the city, according to local commuter newspaper 20 Minutes.”
The BBC says that fatalities are “possible” in the collision, tweeting:

A journalist in the area reports that the trains collided — as evidenced by the picture — but no reason for the crash has yet been confirmed:

One witness to the Lausanne train crash told local media sources that “there are injuries, maybe even deaths given the violence of the collision.”
