Casper Smart Gives J. Lo A Ring, Are They Engaged?
Backup dancer Casper Smart gave sweetheart Jennifer Lopez a ring for her birthday, but the recently divorced mom of two denies engagement rumors.
Casper Smart, 26, has been dating Lopez, 44, for a while now — but until her birthday Wednesday, never had gifted the bling-loving diva any jewelry.
People magazine spoke with Platt Boutique owner Larry Platt about the decision Smart made to buy estate jewels for his girlfriend, saying:
“[Casper] told me he had bought her jewelry before, but never vintage so he wanted to go in a different direction, something one-of-a-kind.”
The shop owner continues, saying Smart was in tune with Lopez’s likes and dislikes:
“He has a very good eye and knew what he wanted… He was looking for vintage pieces that had a chic, modern feel to them. He told me that there are only two pieces of jewelry that Jennifer wears on a daily basis, so he wanted to pick pieces that he felt she would wear all the time and could go with everything.”
He concludes:
“He appreciated the fact that pieces were beautifully made, from a different era and were completely unique.”
Casper Smart also tweeted out a sappy message to his much older girlfriend, saying:
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my very very beautiful bear the nicest, sweetest, funniest, sexiest bear there is! Love u.”
But while Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart have been dating for a long time, and he gave her a diamond ring for her birthday, Entertainmentwise reports that the star’s flak deny any engagement rumors at the time regarding the freshly unmarried American Idol star.
