PSY Has A Bit Of A Drinking Problem

Korean pop star PSY has a bit of a drinking problem.

The 35-year-old admitted in an interview with the Sunday Times Magazine that he struggles with drinking, saying “If I’m happy, I’m drinking, if I’m sad, I’m drinking. If it’s raining, I’m drinking, if it’s sunny, I’m drinking.”

When asked when he isn’t drinking, PSY said “When I’m hungover.”

He prefers Korean vodka, calling it his “best friend” and “vice partner,” but he’ll also drink “whisky, vodka, tequila, whatever.”

What’s more, as quirky as PSY is, he has a number of other vices, as well as a history full of emotional abuse.

He smokes incessantly and rambled on during the interview about his childhood and abusive father. He also admitted to being “desperate” for attention and spent some time in jail.

Who knew the guy behind Gangnam Style and Gentleman had such a dark side?

This isn’t the first time PSY’s name has been attached to controversy. Earlier this year, PSY’s “Gentleman” video was banned in his home country because the video shows the damage of public property.

Last year, it was also revealed that PSY used to be a part of a controversial anti-American performance group.

During one performance, he sang lyrics from South Korean rock band N.E.X.T.’s song “Dear American,” which included: “Kill those f—ing Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives” and “Kill them all slowly and painfully.”

He has since apologized to anyone he had offended.
