Celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson is separating from her husband of nearly two years.
Anderson’s representative told E! News, “It’s with great sadness that Tracy has confirmed the separation between herself and her husband, Matt [Mogul].”
The rep added, “The well-being of the daughter that they share, as well as her son, will always remain Tracy’s first priority. We appreciate the respect of Tracy and her family’s privacy during this immensely heartbreaking and painful time.”
Anderson, who is best known for the Tracy AndersonMethod, has worked with a number of celebrities, including Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Shakira. Anderson also trains Kim Kardashian, who gave birth to daughter North West on June 15. Shortly after the birth, Anderson said that Kardashian was excited to get back in shape.
“It’s a tough time, and a lot of women feel like it’s a huge mountain to climb to get back, but Kim, surprisingly, has had the totally opposite reaction to other moms,” Anderson said. “She’s like, ‘We’re going to be so good. It’s fun, I feel great!’ She just loves the whole process.” The 38-year-old also said that pregnancy is “an opportunity for women to look better than ever,” which she believes Kardashian will.
Last week, Anderson said that Kardashian is more focused on being a mother than getting rid of her baby weight.
“From our talks during her pregnancy, I thought she was going to be really concerned [about her weight] once the baby was out, but she’s just not,” Anderson said. “She’s in baby heaven. She’s excited to get started, but she’s really calm about it all.”
Tracy Anderson and Matt Mogul were married in Big Sur, California, in 2011. The couple welcomed a daughter, Penelope, in May 2012. Anderson also has a 13-year-old son with her first husband, retired NBA player Eric Anderson, who played for the New York Knicks from 1992 to 1994.
