NeNe Leakes Sued By Wedding Planner, Denies Allegations

NeNe Leakes has been sued by the wedding planner who worked on her extravagant second wedding to ex-husband Gregg Leakes.

Tiffany Cook claimed that Leakes has an outstanding bill of over $1 million for the June 22 wedding, which will be featured in a Bravo special in September. Cook said Leakes promised to pay her 15 percent of the total budget, as well as design fees and travel expenses. Altogether, Cook said Leakes’ budget was $1.8 million, and that she had only paid an initial down payment of $18,750.

Cook is claiming that she is still owed $270,000 (15 percent of the budget), $889,900 in design fees, and $1,750 for four coach tickets from Florida to Georgia, for a total balance of $1,142,900. Cook is also suing for damages, and is ultimately asking for over $2.5 million from the Real Housewives of Atlanta star.

Leakes, however, said she doesn’t owe Cook anything, telling TMZ, “Tell her to show you the check and show you the d**n contract.” She also said that if Cook could prove that she signed a check or contract, that she would pay the media outlet. Leakes said she wished Cook the best in her attempt to get 15 minutes of fame.

However, Leakes didn’t stop there, and also went on a two-day Twitter tirade against Cook, saying that she wasn’t even the planner for the event, and Tony Conway of Legendary Events was in charge of the wedding. She also jokingly pleaded with fans to help her pay for the event since she is “struggling.”

Leakes isn’t the only RHOA star to be sued by a wedding planner. Last November, it was reported that Kim Zolciak owed celebrity planner Colin Cowie $200,000 for her November 2011 to Kroy Biermann. Cowie’s team wouldn’t comment on the matter, but Zolciak denied allegations that she hadn’t paid him.
