Hilary Clinton Miniseries: Diane Lane To Star In NBC Project

Diane Lane is scheduled to star in a new miniseries about Hilary Clinton.

NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said that he expects the show to air long before Clinton starts (if she does) her campaign for the presidency.

Greenblatt said that he didn’t expect any “equal time” problems and isn’t planning on creating a show for one of Clinton’s potential GOP contenders.

Greenblatt said: “We have to think very carefully about the timing… She probably wouldn’t announce for another two years. That would be maybe spring or summer of 2015. The show could have already aired by then.”

CNN reports that the new miniseries will simply by titled Hilary. It will be a four hour miniseries that will be written by Courtney Hunt. Hunt only has one film under her belt but it was a pretty good one. She earned an Oscar nomination for her 2008 movie Frozen River.

The Hilary Clinton TV show would start in 1998 around the time that Bill Clinton was having an affair with Monica Lewinsky. No one has been cast as Bill Clinton yet.

NBC writes: “In the years following, she would eventually become a United States senator, run for president and, ultimately, serve the country as secretary of state.”
