Carlos Danger is real and unlike his fake counterpart is avoiding the media.
Reporters from all over the world are trying to get in touch with the real-life Carlos Danger, but he’s not responding.
The real Carlos Danger who quite understandably doesn’t want any of this scandal-related attention is a Miami psychiatrist, age 37, who runs a Coral Gables medical office called Innova Clinical Trials according to Miami New Times, and a 2001 University of Miami medical school graduate. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology.
Carlos Danger is otherwise the screen name adopted by Anthony Weiner — the New York City mayoral candidate at least for now — for his sexting activities. For those who haven’t kept up with the news or perhaps have been on vacation, Carlos Danger is the pseudonym that the disgraced former Democrat congressman used while engaging in online trysts with a number of women. Though Weiner was already stung for a nearly identical scandal for which he had to resign his House seat in June 2011, apparently he thought the superhero-sounding name he invented would keep him from getting caught this time around.
Gossip site The Dirty broke the Anthony Wiener nude texting scandal 2.0 this past week.
According to Gawker, the real Carlos Danger is a registered Republican, so that’s another difference with the fake Carlos danger (other than having a real job).
The Washington Post contacted Dr. Danger’s office: “His harried but gracious receptionist confirmed that ‘Danger’ has the traditional pronunciation you’d expect, as opposed to, say, rhyming with “hanger.’ ”
Separately, In a bit of street theater, a Zorro-resembling dude wearing a mask and cape confronted the beleaguered candidate for mayor on Thursday and asked him a simple question: “Senor Weiner, why did you steal my name?”
Do you think the media should leave the real Carlos Danger alone? Do you think the fake Carlos Danger, a.k.a. Anthony Weiner, will “pull out” of the campaign for NYC mayor?
