Donald Trump Considers Running For President In 2016

Is Donald Trump considering running on the Republican ticket in 2016? No we didn’t go back in time. Donald Trump is planning to run for president in 2016 when President Barack Obama’s term ends. Trump revealed the news to National Review that he might be running for president.

Trump said, “I’m looking,” when asked if he will put his bid in. So what makes him think he’s the perfect candidate? Well, The Donald attributes his decision to his huge following.

“I have a large following of people who are tired of seeing this country ripped off, and taken advantage of [by] everyone who does business with us. We used to be the smart one of the block, and now we’re the dummies on the block. They want to see me, and I want to see them.”

This isn’t the first time Donald Trump has talked about tossing himself in the ring for president. Back in 2010 the business mogul turned reality star revealed that he was “seriously” considering running for president.

At one point Donald was ahead of Mitt Romney, who in the end lost out to Barack Obama. By May of 2011 Trump announced that he would not be running for president, having said: “The country is so important, so vital that we choose the right person, and at this moment, I don’t see that person.” He then suggested that he might be a great candidate for Vice President if Michele Bachmann would have won the Republican nomination.

As for Donald Trump’s stances, he believes in pro-life, defends marriage to be between a man and a woman, opposes gun control, and supports fair trade policy.

Most saw Donald Trump’s candidacy as a promotion tool for his television series The Apprentice.
