O.J. Simpson Could Guest Star On ‘Anger Management’

O.J. Simpson could land a role on Anger Management if he manages to get out of prison early.

Although he’s presently locked away in Lovelock Correctional Center outside of Reno, Nevada, this isn’t stopping The Juice from thinking about his big comeback.

O.J. Simpson’s promoter Norman Pardo reportedly pitched the idea of the retired football player possibly landing a part on Anger Management to someone at FX. If the Naked Gun star is released early, then he might have a recurring role on the show.

A senior production executive on the series reportedly loved the idea of Simpson’s involvement.

“He said, ‘Anger Management’ with O.J. Simpson? That would be a perfect fit! O.J. would play a thinly veiled version of himself — a famous con who’s p***ed off about being unjustly incarcerated,” Pardo recently explained to the folks at the New York Post.

All that stands in his way at the moment is a set of prison bars. Simpson is currently serving a 33-year sentence for kidnapping and armed robbery. However, Simpson is hoping to score a new trial or get out of jail early. Las Vegas District Court Judge Linda Marie Bell has yet to rule on the matter.

While an executive for FX is reportedly interested in the idea, the network hasn’t approved Simpson’s guest spot just yet. Should Bell decide that Simpson needs to stay in prison, then all of these conversations could be all for nothing.

“I could see OJ pulling in record numbers for the show, especially if there are parallels to his sentence for armed robbery and kidnapping in the Vegas case. A lot people feel that was way too harsh,” an anonymous cast member explained to Pardo.

This isn’t the first time FX, star Charlie Sheen, and Anger Management have attempted to boost ratings by putting a controversial celebrity on the show. Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan appeared on the comedy earlier this year.
