World’s Oldest Mother Determined To Live To See Daughter Married
The world’s oldest mother, who became pregnant after being given IVF treatment, has declared that she wants to live to see her five year old daughter get married.
Rajo Devi Lohan, who gave birth in the controversial manner at the age of 69, almost died because of complications with the delivery, whilst critics also stated that she was not only putting her health at risk, but her daughter would more than likely have to grieve her death at a very young age.
However, five years after the birth of Naveen, Devi Lohan has stated that her daughter has made her stronger and has even helped to her live longer.
Devi Lohan was ill for a period after the birth, but she has since stated that she has been given strength merely by the presence of her daughter and that she will prosper and live to see the day she gets married.
Devi Lohan, who lives in Hissar, India, with her husband, Ballo, and his second younger wife, Umi, remarked, “The only reason I am still alive in spite of my illness is Naveen. She is a gift to me from God and until I get her married I cannot afford to die. I will get her married when she turns 15-years-old, but until then I simply cannot die.”
Discussing the controversy surrounding the birth of her daughter, Rajo remarked, “When Naveen was born the Doctor had asked me to take complete bed rest but I did not listen to him and that’s why my health got so bad. I am not used to resting and that’s why I could not help myself but work even after she was born. For me work is what I have done all my life.”
She went on to add that she recovered because of the doctor, who has tragically since died, whilst she doesn’t worry about Naveen’s future, because of Umi, her uncles, and her father.
