Stand Your Ground Florida Boycott Would Include Kate Upton, NASCAR, Disney World, Beer

A Stand Your Ground boycott of everything Florida would include a whole more than you would think.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Stand Your Ground opponents proposed a Florida orange juice boycott.

Martin Luther King III spoke at the NAACP convention in Orlando on Wednesday and proposed the boycott as one way for people nationwide to express their opposition to Florida’s Stand Your Ground law (never mind that 30 other states have similar laws).

MoveOn.org is stating that Trayvon Martin supporters will be “boycotting Florida tourism until the Stand Your Ground law is overturned. Your state is not a safe place to vacation if your citizens are able to kill anyone they deem suspicious.” So let’s go see what would happen if everything from Florida was boycotted.

So what if the Stand Your Ground boycott of Florida included well known persons? No, not rednecks…celebrities. Channing Tatum actually spent the majority of his youth in Florida, although Magic Mike probably should have been enough to get him boycotted. Flo Rida was born in Florida. Worst of all, you’d have to force yourself to never look at Kate Upton’s boobs, I mean, face again. Kate Upton is from Melbourne, Florida, which just happens to be this writer’s home town, so I guess you’ll have to stop reading my articles as well.

What sort of fun stuff would a Florida boycott include? The obvious one is Disney World, but Disney movies are still an option since they’re incorporated in, get this, Delaware. Then of course race fans would miss out on NASCAR. Florida’s beaches are well known for their fun and sun. Plus, the majority of Caribbean cruises launch off from Florida (oh, come on, they’re safe…mostly).

What about the edible goodies? Besides the obvious Florida orange juice, Land Shark Lager is brewed in Jacksonville. So there goes one of your beers. Gatorade was invented by the University of Florida. Florida Krystals is the only certified organic sugar producer. Even Key Lime pie would not be an option since it was invented in the Florida keys. But worst of all, Burger King’s headquarters are in Florida. Oh well, at least you have McDonald’s and their lovely employee wages.

Well, at least with the Stand Your Ground boycott you could ignore high humidity and giant mosquitoes.
