Heineken At JFK Airport Asks Travelers To Drop Everything, Fly To Mysterious Locations

A new viral ad campaign from Heineken has launched at New York’s JFK Airport. Located at terminal 8, the ad campaign tells fliers to press a button, which will then send them off to a mysterious location.

The Heinken “departure roulette” board assigns fliers with a new destination at random, and it goes immediately into effect.

While Heineken would love for every traveler to use the departure roulette board, most people cite various excuses for passing such as business trips, bachelor parties, and more.

The board is part of Heineken’s Legends global marketing push, which started way back in December 2010. The ad accompanying the program shows several young men as they travel throughout the world.

For the most part the video shows brave souls pushing the button and agreeing to take the travel plunge. Witness as brave participants win trips to Laos, Cyprus, Thailand, and other exotic locations.

I almost feel bad for the one “winner” who calls his mom and tells her he won’t be coming home as planned.

The program definitely isn’t for everyone, but, if you have a sense of adventure, then Terminal 8 in JFK Airport might be a good spot for you. Just remember you already need to have a ticket in hand to make your way to the terminal.

You may recall that last month Heineken released Dropped, which featured one guy being left in the Alaskan tundra. Here’s the Dropped ad:

If Heineken just wants to random send me somewhere from Chicago’s O’Hare or Midway airports I’m game for playing the Heineken departure roulette wheel.
