Tyra Banks And Ashton Kutcher Have Invested In ‘The Hunt’


Supermodel Tyra Banks and Two and a Half Men star Ashton Kutcher have now both invested in personal shopper website TheHunt.com.

The Hunt is a platform that allows shoppers to search for outfits they find on social media sites.

Customers point to photos they find on Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, Facebook, and various photo apps, and The Hunt team locates the outfit and tells shoppers where it can be found.

Tyra Banks is CEO and chairman of The Tyra Banks Company, and her new purchase is through her investment arm known as Fierce Capital, LLC.

TheHunt.com is the first investment for Fierce Capital. Speaking to Women’s Wear Daily, the former talk show host proclaims:

“I created Fierce Capital LLC because supporting female owned, led and targeted businesses is extremely important to me. We are excited about The Hunt, our first fashion investment, because it truly sucks to discover a great style item but not be able to find and buy it. The Hunt solves that fashion dilemma in a fun and innovative way.”

Tyra also explains why she picked the business from a personal point of view:

“What I love about The Hunt is that women help other women find their perfect outfit [head-to-toe]. I am excited to be part of this new approach to collective retail and styling.”

In April, The Hunt announced its second close of seed financing which included Ashton Kutcher’s A-Grade Investments, music producer RedOne, and brand marketing guru Rohan Oza. As of April, the company was doing one million uniques per month with total funding of $2.7 million.
