Gabourey Sidibe Pulls Elaborate Prank At Jimmy Kimmel’s Wedding

Gabourey Sidibe is known for her dramatic introduction into the industry when she popped up on the scene in the film Precious. Since then it’s been her infectious laugh and bubbly personality that has made her the center of any talk show appearance.

This time Sidibe comically made herself the center of attention at Jimmy Kimmel’s wedding. Kimmel married co-worker and longtime girlfriend Molly McNearney, but not without a prank by Gabourey.

Sidibe showed up to the ceremony all in white. Not only was the Precious star in white, but she was wearing a wedding gown with a matching veil, while holding a green umbrella in order to shield her face from the sun.

It isn’t known whether or not the joke was between Kimmel and Sidibe, or if this really was a random impromptu prank on the television host. Sidibe recently appeared in the Jimmy Kimmel music video for “( I Wanna) Channing All Over Your Tatum,” which was a parody on the actor Channing Tatum’s popularity.

This time around the joke was on Jimmy Kimmel when Gabourey showed up to the big event. Sidibe wasn’t alone either, she got help from a friend to hold her train, like any “blushing bride” would, as she exited from her black Escalade.

After the stunt, Sidibe changed into a red dress, white ballet flats and watched the ceremony. Other celebrity guests invited to the wedding included Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux, Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Stanley Tucci and Howard Stern.

Before the two tied the knot, Kimmel and his bride-to-be were spotted celebrating their wedding at their wedding rehearsal in Ojai Valley Inn & Spa with a few friends.

It was announced that Jimmy Kimmel had proposed to his girlfriend while the couple were vacationing in South Africa in 2012.

Do you think Gabourey Sidibe’s prank was funny?
