Watch: Justin Bieber And Selena Gomez ‘Back On,’ But Conditionally

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are reportedly “back on”.

Yes, the mercurial couple have reunited. But, with conditions.

The teen sweethearts began dating in 2010, going public at an Oscar’s party in 2011. The couple broke up in last November, seemingly for good.

But, like many teen couples, Bieber and Gomez’s relationship didn’t end with that first split but developed into an on-again, off-again pattern.

The 20-year-old Spring Breakers actress shocked many when she flew to Norway in April to visit the Canadian singer during his Believe tour stop in Oslo.

Two very friendly looking Instagrams followed, one of which was deleted.

More recently, Bieber posted another Instagram on July 5, that showed the pair together. Captioned “Heartbreaker,” it’s also the name of the 19-year-old’s upcoming, new single.

Amid news that the twosome spent Independence Day together with mutual friends, that instagram inevitably set off speculation about a possible reunion.

And, it seems that’s exactly what’s come to pass.

Despite Gomez’s reported misgivings and reasons for the couple’s previous break-ups, sources say the romance is back on. It’s thought the actress-singer refused to resume the relationship earlier this year due to the controversies surrounding Bieber, which some observers believe were set in motion after the “Come and Get It” singer left the picture.

Some of those incidents include, the seizure of Bieber’s former pet monkey in Munich, ongoing tensions in his Calabasas, Calif., neighborhood over accusations of raucous partying and allegations of reckless driving, multiple run-ins with paparazzi, an international firestorm following a guestbook comment at the Anne Frank Museum and excoriating boos at the Billboard Music Awards, to name a few.

TMZ report Gomez returned after Justin was “able to change her mind” and win her back by vowing to change his behavior. The upshot of this narrative is that only Gomez can ‘fix’ Bieber, which may or may not be true but it’s what everyone’s running with.

The reported reunion may appear to conflict with E! News’ most recent report that the pair were “trying to maintain a friendship,” but considering even Bieber’s mother Patti Mallette told Fox and Friends she couldn’t “keep up” with the on-off couple’s relationship status it seems she was absolutely right.

Over on the musical side of things, the debate over the voicemail intro of Gomez’s leaked track “Love Will Remember” rolls on.

Gossip Cop claim Bieber’s rep told them the singer is not on the song, while E! News reports a source as saying he left the voicemail on Gomez’s phone earlier this year before they broke up which she then used on the mid-tempo ballad. Bieber is reportedly “blown away” by its appearance on the track.

Gomez previously revealed the song was about her break-up with the Biebs. In May, she told InStyle it was “the most personal track on the record” and that she was “sure he’ll love it too.”

For their part, a rep for the track’s producers Rock Mafia told E!: “We won’t confirm it’s Justin. We are very disappointed the song was leaked.”

Meanwhile, Gomez has returned to Los Angeles after promoting Adidas NEO in Germany, a brand that her beau also represents.

Bieber continues to crisscross North America on his Believe tour but made time yesterday to apologize to Bill Clinton after a video showed the singer peeing into a mop bucket then cursing at a photograph of the former president in a New York City nightclub earlier this year.

So, to recap: Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are back together. Conditionally.
