Ryan Reynolds Was Almost A Cop

Ryan Reynolds is pretty busy as an actor these days. He has two films to come out two days a part. One is an animated film called Turbo that sees him as a garden snail alongside with Paul Giamatti and Maya Rudolph while the other R.I.P.D. has Reynolds as a dead cop working for the Rest in Peace Department as he tries to find the man who murdered him.

It’s safe to say that Reynolds will probably be more believable as a cop than a garden snail. At one point the actor thought the same thing. Earlier Reynolds revealed to ABC News that joining the police force was in his future if it wasn’t for his acting career taking off.

“I’d probably be a cop. My dad was a cop, and my brorther’s one, that’s the family business.” What a bullet Reynolds dodged. Instead of putting his life on the line as a police officer, he gets to play one alongside Jeff Bridges. Not a shabby gig, if you ask us.

Although Ryan Reynolds is a huge Hollywood star, he hasn’t yet gotten used to the Hollywood lifestyle. In fact, the actor doesn’t even live in Los Angeles. Instead he’s made a home with wife Blake Lively in Bedford, New York, where he enjoys having a private life.

Reynolds married Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively in a South Carolina wedding last September after a year of dating. In a rare interview with Details, Reynolds opened up about wanting a family life, having said:

“We’d love to have a big family. We both come from big families — my parents did four, Blake’s did five. A lot of people say it’s crazy, but we’ll only know when we’re there, you know? We’ll walk through that fire pretty happily, I think.”

Will you be seeing Ryan Reynolds in R.I.P.D. or Turbo?
