Alec Baldwin: I Will Never Use Twitter Again

Alec Baldwin quit Twitter for the hundredth time earlier this week after he stuck his social media foot into his social media mouth again. The actor usually quits Twitter for a few weeks before making a comeback but it looks like the actor could finally say goodbye for good this time.

Baldwin got into some trouble last month after he called a reporter a “queen” on Twitter. The actor was upset about a false report and made a few homophobic remarks at the reporter. Baldwin quit Twitter after the incident and he apparently means it this time.

Baldwin said that James Gandolfini inspired him to give up Twitter. The actor said that he was at Gandolfini’s funeral when he realized that The Sopranos actor didn’t give a “f**k” about social media.

Baldwin said: “I went to Jimmy Gandolfini’s funeral, and when I was there I realized Jimmy Gandolfini didn’t have Twitter. Jimmy Gandolfini was so beloved as a person, and he was so admired as an actor, and he didn’t give a (f-bomb) about social media. I really learned a lesson at the funeral. I said to myself, This is all a waste of time. Meaning it’s fun sometimes, but less and less, and less. It’s just another chink in your armor for people to come and kill you. I stopped and said to myself, I’m going to try where I just don’t do this anymore.”

So, while Baldwin was sitting at the funeral, mourning the loss of his dear friend, he was thinking about his Twitter account? That’s almost as offensive as the false report that stated that his wife was using Twitter during the service.

Baldwin said that he is having another child and he doesn’t want to make the same mistakes that he did with Ireland.

Baldwin added: “I’m having a baby. And everyone has seen how certain things have played out with my daughter, which as been very painful—it’s been really unpleasant. That has consequences, and I do not want that to happen with my next child.”

The actor famously called his daughter a “thoughtless little pig” and he doesn’t want those hateful things to enter the public sphere with his new child. Apparently the best way to stop that from happening is by deleted his Twitter account. If that doesn’t work, the actor could always consider trying to stop staying hateful things.
