‘The Frozen Ground’ UK Trailer Arrives Online [Video]
The UK trailer for the Nicolas Cage and John Cusack thriller The Frozen Ground has arrived online.
Although the film opens in the United States on August 23, UK moviegoers are getting the film a little earlier. Writer-director Scott Walker’s flick arrives across the pond on July 19.
Based on a true story, The Frozen Ground chronicles the hunt for serial killer Robert Hansen (John Cusack) through the wilds of Alaska. Prolific actor Nicolas Cage stars as Jack Halcombe, the state trooper who desperately wants to stop the murderer before he strikes again.
In addition to Cage and Cusack, the upcoming thriller also stars Dean Norris (Breaking Bad), Radha Mitchell (Silent Hill), and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. However, none of them appear in the trailer you see above.
Also missing from the latest clip is co-star Vanessa Hudgens. The Spring Breakers alum plays a stripper who somehow manages to escape the killer’s clutches. She teams up with Cage’s character in hopes of tracking him down.
Lionsgate describes the film as follows:
‘Frozen Ground’ follows Alaskan detective Glenn Flothe as he sets out to end the murderous rampage of Robert Hansen, a serial killer who has gone unnoticed for 13 years. As the bodies of street girls start to add up in Anchorage, fear strikes a chord with the public. Risking his life, Detective Flothe goes on a personal manhunt to find the killer before the next body surfaces. When a seventeen year old escapee reveals key information about the case, Flothe is finally able to trail the killer. But will he catch him in time to save the next victim?
