‘Prometheus’ Has Life In Upcoming Comic

It’s no secret that the impending sequel to the troubled Prometheus film has been in flux since it was announced. Fans of the first prequel film no longer have to wait to get their fill, because it’s coming to a comic book near you.

Dark Horse Entertainment revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that they have something in store for the fans of Promethus, saying: “We’re brewing something up that I think the fans of Ridley Scott’s amazing film will really like.” While it is a pretty vague statement, Dark Horse Entertainment has had a pretty profitable dealing in the motion picture industry.

The film company bridges film and American comic book publishing company Dark Horse Comics together. Some of their productions have included 30 Days of Night, Hellboy, R.I.P.D. and Mystery Men.

As for what they have planned with Prometheus it really is up in the air. It may be a full-fledged comic book. It may be a completely re imagining of the prequel to the Alien series, it may even be a continuation, either way it will be welcomed by fans who have been waiting for the sequel.

As reported there has been troubles with the Ridley Scott production. First writer Damon Lindelof ducked out of signing on board for a sequel, which was only one of the sources of contention for the production. Just in the last few weeks we reported that Transcendence scribe Jack Paglen was the new man for the job, so hopefully that will be enough to get the ball rolling again on the sequel.

Those who are just busting for more details on the comic won’t have to wait too long. Details are coming at Comic-Con and hopefully we’ll have a bit more to go on. Are you excited that a Prometheus-related comic is coming?
