Samsung Debuts Zipel, This Isn’t Your Mothers Oven

The team at Samsung doesn’t just want you to cook your meal in their Zipel oven, they want you to microwave the leftovers and steam your vegetables.

The oven is like an all-in-one printer/fax/scanner for your food, utilizing a small amount of space to handle tasks that most people who cook will love to use.

The device offers touch controls on the front panel and can be picked up for under $600 when it’s finally made availabe, with a first street release expected in Korea. If you don’t want to eat healthy you can throw out the steamer option and pay just under $250.

This could be the dorm room item of the future, if dorms would just start letting students cook in their room, but first I would suggest an automatic burn and turn off detection option. In any case, it’s very cool. [via OhGizmo!]
