Alicia Silverstone Launches Breast Milk Sharing Service

Alicia Silverstone has created a breast milk sharing program to help out vegan mothers.

The actress revealed the service, called Kind Mama Milk Share, on her website earlier this week.

Silverstone writes that she was inspired to create the service after she received an email from a mother in need. Silverstone writes that a friend of hers was unable to provide her son with breast milk because she had had breast reduction surgery. The mother-in-need turned to her community to find some donor milk but wasn’t able to get enough for her son.

Silverstone writes: “A lot of women unfortunately have a similar struggle, and there’s no reason why they shouldn’t be able to give their babies the most amazing start in life with clean, mean, glorious breast milk. And because we are a community of beautiful souls who recognize the importance of food as health, I say we help support those mamas and babies who need a hand during one of the most important times in their lives … It’s why I’m starting the Kind Mama Milk Share, a way for moms to connect with other moms in their area. If you have milk to share–post it! If you are in need of milk — post it! Think of all the babies we can help raise together!”

What do think of Alicia Silverstone’s breast milk sharing service? The actress posted a message announcing the service on her website but she hasn’t provided too many details as of yet. At the moment, the actress is asking her readers to share their thoughts about the service.

This isn’t the first time that Silverstone has made headlines for her parenting methods. Earlier this year, the actress revealed that she regurgitated chewed up food for her baby to eat. Yes, like a bird.
