Bret Michaels Suffers Minor Injuries In Tour Bus Crash

Bret Michaels suffered minor injuries in a tour bus crash on Friday.

The singer said he was recovering from “bumps and bruises” as a result of the accident. The bus reportedly struck several deer while Michaels was on his way to a show in Biloxi, Mississippi.

According to USA Today, nobody was seriously injured during the crash. The website also stated the tour bus was brand new. Thankfully, it was some of the bus’ modern features that prevented anyone from getting seriously injured during the accident.

“Except for some bumps and bruises I am thankful there were no serious injuries. It is unfortunate for the deer, but thankfully due to modern RV technology and a steel firewall we are all okay. I have every intention to make tonight’s show in Biloxi and the tour will continue,” Brett Michaels told the folks at Celebuzz.

While this accident would have sent other musicians scrambling for the “cancel show” button, Bret Michaels doesn’t plan to let the tour bus crash get in the way of a good time. The show in Biloxi, Mississippi is still scheduled to take place on Sunday (June 23).

News of Michaels’ accident surely gave longtime fans a scare on Friday. However, this isn’t the first time his supporters have worried about the singer’s well-being.

According to Cinema Blend, the rocker spent a fair amount of time under medical care in 2010. He was previously hospitalized for appendicitis, a subarachnoid hemorrhage, and a stroke caused by a hole in his heart.

Despite his recent health scares, Bret Michaels found the time to participate in the latest season of All-Star Celebrity Apprentice. He’s also toured quite a bit since 2010, proving it’s going to take quite a bit to get the singer to stop making music.
