Prince William And Kate Prepare To Welcome The Royal Baby

Prince William to play charity polo match.

Prince William and his wife Kate are on the last leg of their road to parenthood. Next month will see the arrival of the newest member of their family, their first born child.

The couple’s baby is not only their first born, but an heir to the throne of England. He will be third in line to the crown after his/her grandfather Prince Charles and William.

The Prince celebrated his 31 birthday on June 21 and for part of the festivities he will attend the wedding of his close friend, Lady Melissa Percy.

He was seen carrying his own bags while getting ready to board the car that would take him to the wedding. He attends solo, presumably because his wife is too close to her due date to be allowed to travel.

The public will have more information than in previous royal births when Prince William’s child finally makes his entrance. The couple is planning to share the private information with the world.

The have not found out what the sex of the baby is, as they want to be surprised. The child will be delivered naturally, per Kate’s request, in a private wing of St. Mary’s hospital in London, where William and his brother Prince Harry were also born. William will be with his wife for the birth.

The royals will announce the happy news in the traditional way, via the Palace, but have also said that there will be a less formal announcement on Twitter in keeping with modern practices. This is where we will find what the gender of the baby is as well as the usual weight and height.

As far as the baby’s name, if the Duke and Duchess continue with tradition, it could be at least a week before the world knows what the baby is named. If they use social media we will know almost immediately.

As far as Prince William taking time off his duties as a rescue pilot, he will be taking two weeks off to stay home with his wife and new baby. After this time he will return to his duties.
