Corona Teacher Out On Bail After Alleged School Grounds Sex Arrest

A Corona teacher arrested on suspicion that she had sexual contact, including oral sex, with multiple male students is now out on bail. California news station KTLA said that 31-year-old Summer Michelle Hansen posted bail and was then released on Friday.

Hansen is a special education teacher at Centennial High school in Corona, California. She is now on leave.

The Corona Police Department said that they opened the investigation into the married mother of three after a tip from the Corona Norco Unified School District, which reported the possibility of an inappropriate relationship between Hansen and a former student.

After an investigation that included serving two search warrants in two locations, Corona police arrested her for having sexual contact with what they described as multiple underaged male victims on school grounds. A KABC report noted that the police believe that there could still be other unknown victims out there.

However, it’s worth pointing out that no one has actually accused her of having the sexual contact with any of her own students.

Despite the arrest, KTLA said that she hasn’t been charged. Police said that the investigation is still in process. They have asked anyone with information about possible victims to call the Corona Police Department at 951-279-3659.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reportedly set Hansen’s bail at $150,000.

Twitter can’t resist the predictable comments:

KTLA talked to some parents on Thursday after the arrest. Parent Khoi Pham seemed to have a balanced reaction, saying: “Give her a fair chance to defend herself, and if that is the case it’s gonna be a shame.”

There are still many questions up in the air about the sexual allegations facing the Corona teacher.
