Bronx Teacher Allegedly Rapes Student And Apologizes For Being Too Rough

A Bronx teacher allegedly raped his 10-year-old student and later sent her an apology, saying that he was too rough.

Anthony Criscuolo actually had the audacity to send the girl an email the day after raping her inside his car. “I was too rough. Sorry,” he wrote. “It’s normal. You may feel pain for a few days.”

Criscuolo was arrested for the crime on Wednesday after the girl’s parents found several sexually explicit emails sent by the teacher. He was charged with rape, predatory sexual assault against a child and endangering the welfare of a child and is being held on $500,000 bail.

Apparently that wasn’t the first time the Bronx teacher raped the 10-year-old girl. According to a criminal complaint, the alleged sexual abuse has been going on for two months.

The 40-year-old first sexually assaulted his student in school in April and then again in May. According to authorities, he said to her, “I’m doing this because I like you.”

“He was manipulating her to keep her from talking,” the girl’s aunt said. “She was scared.”

“If these facts are proven to be correct, it’s really a totally outrageous situation,” NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly said.

Many parents at the school Criscuolo taught at are horrified by the news.

“I think it’s very horrible because my niece is in his class,” Denesha Brown said. “It’s not right. She is a 10-year-old. She cannot defend herself against a grown man.”

The Department of Education said that Criscuolo is banned from the school and has been reassigned to a non-teaching position. He began teaching in the city in 2002 and has taught at three different schools since then.

What do you think should happen to the Bronx teacher who is accused of raping his 10-year-old student?
