Kim and Kanye’s baby does not have a name that starts with a ‘K,” squashing rumors that the five-day-old is going by Kaidence Donda West.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have remained largely silent since the birth of their daughter on Saturday, leading many to speculate what name they had chosen. Earlier this week rumors seemed to indicate that they named the girl Kaidence Donda West, but now a source close to the couple said that’s false.
“They’re not quite ready to announce the name yet,” a source close to the couple told Us Weekly. “But the name definitely does not start with a K, despite all the rumors that have been out.”
If true, that would throw off most predictions about the name for Kim and Kanye’s baby. Speculators focused heavily on “K” names, and bookmakers even placed odds on names like Kris and Kimye.
Kaidence Donda West would have seemed a legitimate choice. The first name would have followed in the Kardashian family tradition of picking names starting with the 11th letter of the alphabet, and Donda was the first name of Kanye West’s late mother.
But the source that supposedly found out the name of Kim and Kanye’s baby has come into question. The initial report came from MediaTakeOut, a celebrity news blog claiming its information came via “a tip from a nurse at Los Angeles’ Cedars Sinai Hospital.” Other media outlets have taken shots at the credibility of MediaTakeOut, which reportedly tends to get rumors wrong a lot.
But while the name remains a mystery, the source said the family is doing well.
“Everybody is doing great,” the insider said. “The baby is so sweet. Kanye is in love. Kim’s real due date was July 12 — Kanye’s mom’s birthday. That warmed his heart.”
Now that Kaidence Donda West is out the window, it seems people will have to wait a little longer to learn the name of Kim and Kanye’s baby.
