‘Riddick: Rule The Dark’ Second Trailer Drops [Video]

Riddick: Rule the Dark has just landed a second trailer!

One of the most interesting antiheroes ever invented, Richard B Riddick has no super powers. He’s a Furyan with a love for killing, and when survival means killing everything in sight, he’s as good as they get. His only real weakness, aside from being “human” on the most part, is his intolerance to light. Hence the shaded goggles he wears most of the time.

It all started with Pitch Black, where for most of the film he was considered a dangerous convict who would kill everyone in their sleep. He ended up being the unlikely hero who only did what he needed to for the sake of survival.

Then in The Chronicles of Riddick, the “holy man” sought him out, hoping he would help eliminate an alien menace threatening all life on his world. With a relentless mercenary after him, once again, it turned out to be a game of survival as Riddick took down the alien overlord and then proceeded to relieve him of his throne.

In Riddick: Rule the Dark, Vin Diesel is once again in a battle for survival as he starts out left for dead on a sun-scorched planet, mirroring the world of Pitch Black. He sends out a distress signal, and unfortunately for the lone Furyan, the call is answered by a new breed of mercenaries who may just be his match.

The second trailer for Riddick: Rule the Dark, above, begins with a large bird-like creature swooping down on what looks to be a barren landscape. Riddick (Vin Diesel) starts narrating, “Don’t know how many times I’ve been crossed off the list and left for dead. So this, this ain’t nothing new.” The bird creature lands, only to have Riddick’s hand pop out of the ground and grab it by the neck.

Then we see a group of mercenaries with assault rifles apparently searching for Riddick, even using a robot to find him from a distance. One mercenary says, “I come to collect your head in a box!”

Riddick: Rule the Dark stars Vin Diesel, Karl Urban, Jordi Molla, Matt Nable, Dave Bautista, Conrad Pla, Raoul Trujillo, Katee Sackhoff, Bokeem Woodbine, Nolan Funk and Keri Hilson.
