Beyonce Wants To Be Wonder Woman
Beyonce– or do I mean Sasha Fierce?— has admitted that she’s ready to take on a challenge of epic proportions. She wants to be the first Wonder Woman to hit the big screen, and she’s already met with reps from Warner Bros. and DC Comics to express her interest (and get an edge on the competition).
“I want to do a superhero movie and what would be better than Wonder Woman? It would be great. And it would be a very bold choice. A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It’s time for that, right?”
After playing parts like Deena Jones in Dreamgirls and Etta James Cadillac Records, she said that “[T]hese roles that were so emotional I was thinking to myself, ‘OK, I need to be a superhero.'” If you’re not following the logic, don’t worry: Beyonce explained that, um, it has something to do with emotion… and an “action element.” Oh yeah– and the fact that these movies are so incredibly hot right now. Even Kim Kardashian’s after the role!
