Looks like President Bush’s dog wasn’t too happy with Obama’s election this week. Barney, a Scottish terrier, was being walked outside the White House Thursday when a reporter from Reuters approached him. The reporter reached down to pet him, and Barney jumped out and bit the guy’s finger.
Here’s the raw video. The bite is about 19 seconds in, then played again in slow-mo about :43 in.
Another reporter, from the American Urban Radio Networks, happened to be recording and captured the video. The bite broke the skin, so the Reuters guy has to take antibiotics as a precaution. (The White House doctor treated him.)
The official Bush spokesperson response: “I think it was [the dog’s] way of saying he was done with the paparazzi.”
