World Cup TV schedule: Where and when the games are showing

Tomorrow sees World Cup 2010 kick off in South Africa, so we scoured the internets to bring those in the U.S, Britain, Australia, and Canada a World Cup TV schedule for a TV near you. Because we’re super awesome like that.

U.S.
In the U.S., all 64 matches will be shown live in high definition on either ESPN, ESPN2 or ABC. 52 of those matches will be available to watch live online at ESPN360.com, though that service is only available via certain internet providers. Below is the full TV guide, as taken from ESPN’s press release; be prepared for some early starts, and remember the times listed below are ET. Pacific peeps, you’ll have some real early starts:

United Kingdom
For those of us in the UK backing England/dying for England to be humiliated (delete as appropriate), all 64 matches are going to be split between the BBC and ITV. The Guardian has an excellent guide to who’s showing which game and when. Find that HERE.

Australia
The Aussies face argubly the second toughest group in the tournament, having been drawn alongside Germany, Serbia, and Ghana. Matches are being shown by SBS (with the Australia games either at 12am or 4.30am – ugh). Go HERE to find a complete guide so you can tune in to see the Socceroos lose. Win, I meant WIN. Because yes, that WILL happen. Cough.

Canada
Are you one of the three guys in your country who’ll watch the World Cup? Congrats! In Canada, CBC are showing all 64 games, both online and on that old TV device you switch on once a year at Christmas. For a complete guide to CBC’s coverage, click HERE.
