StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty attacks your wallet on July 27

Sorry people, summer’s off. Cover the barbecues, hold off buying the ice, store the deckchairs away for 2011.

Blizzard just announced that StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty will be released on July 27, for “stores throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Mexico, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.” That’s right: MACAU.

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty will be the first full StarCraft game for over 12 years, though two further expansion packs – Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void – have yet to be dated. To say I’m excited would probably be the understatement of, oh, I dunno, just ALL RECORDED TIME (sucks to be Brad).
