Video: M.I.A.’s ‘Born Free’ highlights worldwide plight of gingers

M.I.A.’s latest video, Born Free, is currently at the center of a YouTube game of whack-a-mole.

It’s been posted and taken down and reposted, mainly for objectionable content and violence toward gingers. You can watch the video in its entirety below, but in addition to graphic violence and depiction of a child getting shot in the head point blank, there’s also old people sex and some crack smoking.

The track itself is a deviation from M.I.A.’s previous hits, like bouncy rap hit Paper Planes. Born Free isn’t light, or even hip-hop-like- it’s kind of a loud and scary techno-hardcore joint. If you’re curious about the video, you’d better get a look-see before it gets yanked again.
