Apple Begins The iPad 3G Shipping Process

Just a quick note, several customers contacted Engadget this morning to let them know that their bank accounts had suddenly been charged by Apple for the upcoming shipment of iPad 3G devices expected to head out the doors by the end of April.

Those customers said their accounts (as shown in the picture above), were given a pending charge for the goods, of course that pending charge doesn’t mean the units are shipping, just that they are getting ready to ship.

If you’ve got the iPad 3G on order and you’re balancing your checkbook online, you might want to check your account today and over the next few days, you’ll probably have a nice ding to your account, especially if you purchased a higher end version of the device.
