‘Yeezus’ Album: Kanye West Says ‘It’s All About Giving’

“Yeezus” is Kanye West’s new album that is set for release on June 18 and he recently had a listening party to show off his newest work. The hip-hop recording artist spoke out about the album this past weekend to explain it’s purpose, which also showed the lighter side of the critical artist.

According to The Associated Press, West said that his new album will showcase his growth over the past two years and that he “had to learn about giving… this whole process is all about giving.”

The rapper held his listening party on Monday with some very popular guests in attendance. Jay-Z and wife Beyonce came to his support, along with a few hundred other attendees.

West turned 36-years-old on Saturday, but he’s feeling better than ever and is even more excited about his future addition to the family with Kim Kardashian. The celebrity power couple are expecting a baby girl, which was revealed to the world through the Keeping Up With The Kardashians eighth season premiere.

“Yeezus”comes after his last two major solo albums which were a huge success, though it’s been a while since Kanye West’s last solo release. He dropped “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” in 2010 and “808s & Heartbreak” in 2008.

West’s listening party was held at the loading dock of Milk Studios in Manhatten, which featured dark displays and somewhat of a light show. According to a report by Billboard on Thursday, the new album could sell 500,000 copies in the first week.

His lifestyle is full of critical comments and oddities that the entertainment world has grown accustomed to, but he’s settled down of late and done his best to stay out of the media. No matter how he approaches each day, West will always be scrutinized for something based on his mishaps in the past.

Do you think Kanye West’s new “Yeezus” album will become an instant hit once it’s released on June 18?
