Lindsay Lohan Leaves ‘Drug Infested’ Rehab Facility

Linsday Lohan, the famous 26-year-old actress and model, has moved to a new, luxurious drug rehab center. The troubled star has been at the Betty Ford rehab Center in Rancho Mirage, California since May. She has since left that facility due to a relapse after other patients smuggled drugs inside.

Linday Lohan’s father, Michael Lohan, spoke to ‘Confidenti@l‘ about the bad situation his daughter was in at the Betty Ford center saying: “There are drugs all over the place inside there. It was a big problem and that’s why she wanted out”. She has moved to the Cliffside facility in Malibu where the price tag on a room is a massive $68,000 per month!

Lohan will be in “blackout” and won’t have any contact at all with family and friends during her first week in the new facility as her father notes: ““I’m not sure how she is doing, because I can’t talk to her in the blackout. Going to visit again next week”

The Cliffside is owned by ex-drug addict and best selling Author Richard Taite. Taite had some sharp criticism for the star and latest guest at the Cliffside after she was arrested for allegedly punching a woman in the face at a Manhattan nightclub last November: “She is definitely spiralling out of control. She is continually getting into trouble and any reasonable person can tell she needs help”.

The Daily Mail reports that Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in a drug rehabilitation program by the courts. This was related to lies she told the police about her involvement in a car crash last June. Lohan has a further 30 days at least in the new rehab facility according to the court order.

Celebrities often find themselves in the public eye and usually not for good reasons. Do you think Lindsay Lohan’s ongoing drug problems and bad behavior should receive such wide media attention or would it be better if these things were kept quiet ? Post your opinion in the comments.
