Are you ready for the second coming? I mean, Kanye West's new album? A sneak peek of Yeezus, which is due out on June 18th, has just been posted online.
Yeezus is one of the most anticipated albums of the year and to hype up fans just a little more Kanye posted a clip from the song "I Am A God" on the internet today. It's a short clip but it definitely gives an interesting look at the new album.
The clip doesn't feature any music but it does give a glimpse of Kanye's vocals.
On "I Am A God," West sings: "I just talked to Jesus. He said 'what up Yeezus?' I said 'Shit I'm chilling. Trying to stack these millions.' I know he the most high. But I am a close high. Mi casa es su casa. That's that cosa nostra. I am a god."
It's unclear when the video was taken but it may have been filmed pretty recently. Yeezus is due out in stores next week but Kanye is still reportedly working on the album with producer Rick Rubin.
West hasn't released a single for the album yet but he has performed a few of the songs in concert. The singer also said that he was focused on making great music on this record and wasn't too worried about album sales.
West said: "Honestly at this point when I listen to radio, that ain't where I want to be no more. Honestly at this point, I could give a f**k about selling a million records as long as I put out an album for the summer that y'all can rock to for all f***kin' summer."
Regardless of Kanye's intentions for the new album, Billboard is projecting Yeezus to sell more than 500 million copies in its first week.
