Kris Jenner Does Damage Control: Talks Kimye Wedding After Cheating Rumors

Kris Jenner is in the middle of promoting her newest venture into television her new daytime talk show. So when an interview was published with Jenner talking about a wedding between Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, the timing seemed to be practically kismet.

Amidst cheating rumors which West’s camp has denied, Jenner opens up toThe Hollywood Reporter about the strong relationship between her daughter Kim and the New Slaves rapper Kanye West. Although she’s quick to say that their impending nuptials will be more of an “if” and not a “when” she does say that the wedding, if it happens, “will be private and smaller, if she does get married again – not 500 people.”

The suggestion of a marriage between Kanye West and Kim Kardashian comes at a shaky time for the couple. This week they both had to endure the rumors that West cheated. In addition, West’s New York Times’ interview came out, where he uncharacteristically opened up about his relationship with Kim Kardashian and the media.

During the interview West had this to say about the matter:

“One of the things was just to be protective, that I would do anything to protect my child or my child’s mother. As simple as that,” he said. “I just don’t want to talk to America about my family. Like, this is my baby. This isn’t America’s baby.”

The reports that broke earlier in the week suggested that Kanye West allegedly cheated on the mother of his child, Kim Kardashian, with Canadian Model Leyla Ghobadi. According to the reports, West was introduced to Ghobadi after spotting her during a concert at Revel in Atlantic City, which is the same concerned he announced that he was going to be a father.

In the report, Ghobadi said that she was introduced to Kanye, and wanted her to come to his hotel suite:

“He told me that [his relationship with Kim] was for publicity and nothing serious.” she said.

Following the report, Kanye, who usually ignores reports involving his name, no matter how slanderous, made a statement via his camp saying:

“This most recent attack on Kanye West and his family is totally without merit. It’s a blatant attempt by a misguided individual who is clearly seeking publicity, and another in a series of malicious stories drummed up by non-credible ‘news’ sources. This is a sad attempt to hurt two people trying to live their lives.”
